VSV-G Peptide is a 11 amino acid peptide derived from the Vesicular Stomatitis viral glycoprotein.
VSV-G is a fragment of the vesicular stomatitis virus G (VSV-G) protein. VSV-G proteins are commonly used in biomedical research of pseudotyped retroviral and lentiviral vectors to deliver genes for a wide range of mammalian cell types of interest. VSIV G proteins have also been used in cytological studies of endomembrane system transport. Immuno-EM showed that VSIV G protein could move from the cis-Golgi apparatus to the trans-Golgi apparatus without passing through vesicles, revealing a membranous sac maturation model of Golgi transport.
