Luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone is also known as luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone, abbreviated as LRH or LH-RH. A hormone secreted by the hypothalamus of fish and other vertebrates that stimulates the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) from the pituitary gland. It is secreted by nerve cells in the lateral and preoptic nucleus of the hypothalamus, and is transmitted to the pituitary gland through the axon or through the bloodstream, which stimulates the release of not only luteinizing hormone, but also the release of filtration (follicle) hormone (FSChemicalbookH), thereby promoting gonadal development, maturation and ovulation. LRH is a synthetic product 10 peptide, which has high biological activity on cattle, sheep, pigs, rats and humans, but has a low effect on fish to induce production. Changing the configuration of LRH and synthesizing an analogue of 9 peptides (LRH-A) has high biological activity on grass carp, herring, silver carp, bighead carp, mrigal, etc., and has become a fish oxytocic agent widely used in China.
